Charges against a Prince George woman in relation to the discovery of two handguns in a car she was driving have been dropped.

Angeline Hammerstrom, 37, had been facing 11 charges when she was arrested July 24 near Clearwater. The remaining four charges she had been facing were stayed Monday during a hearing in B.C. Supreme Court in Kamloops.

Co-accused Tristan Paul Olson, 19, of Kamloops was sentenced Tuesday to one year probation and assessed $400 in victim surcharges after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance and willfully resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

Four firearms-related charges against Olson were stayed.
