The outside of a Hart Highway home is still an intact shell, but significant damage was done inside, according to fire officials.
Prince George Fire Rescue Service was sent to 8090 Hart Highway at about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
"(We) found a two-storey house with an adjoining two-car garage that was fully involved (with fire)," said PGFRS assistant chief Rod Wiese. "The fire was prevented from burning the house but there is approximately $120,000 damage as a result."
Seventeen firefighters from three halls responded to the alarm. No one was reported injured either from the fire crews or the home. No one was inside the residence at the time of the blaze, said Wiese.
"The fire is not thought to be suspicious," Wiese said. "Investigators and crews are on the scene...in an effort to determine the cause."
