Nearly three years of hard work and fundraising came to fruition on Saturday morning at the Hart Ski Hill with the official opening of the Passenger Conveyor Carpet Lift.
Ross Rustad, son of Jim and Noreen Rustad, cut the ribbon to open the new addition to the Nechako Rotary Learning Centre while representatives from Hart HIghlands Winter Club, Nechako Rotary, and Caledonia Adaptive Sports looked on.
The carpet lift will allow those learning to ski or snowboard to spend more time riding down the hill practicing the skills they are learning instead of having to side-step their way back up the slopes.
