Environment Canada is continuing to warn area residents about heavy rain today, with total rainfall now expected to be 30 to 50 mm with highest amounts near the mountains, particularly east-facing slopes.
Today's high is only expected to be 10 C, warming tomorrow to 19 C and then sunny and warm again Thursday and Friday, with highs of 23 C and 25 C.

First the heat, then the smoke, and now the rain.
After days of unseasonably hot temperatures, then thick smoky air, Environment Canada is now warning area residents about rain.
Light rain Sunday night and Monday is predicted to become heavy rain on Tuesday in the eastern regions of the B.C. Interior, totalling 20-40 millimetres and posing a risk of flooding and increased debris in streams and rivers. The greatest amount of rain is predicted to fall near the mountains, particularly east-facing slopes.
