The volunteer firefighters throughout the Fraser-Fort George Regional District have donated a total of $2,000 to cover the costs of two shelter boxes for Haiti to provide relief and temporary housing. The boxes contain a 10-person tent, blankets, sleeping bags and groundsheets, water filtration system, multifuel stove, pots, tools, rope and other survival items as well as children's school supplies.
