It’s not quite a rare sight to spot a moose while you’re out and about in Prince George but seeing an entire herd of moose running through a field is another story.
Staff at the Prince George Airport spotted just that today - a group of four moose running through the airport property.
"We thought Santa's reindeer got lost; turns out it was a herd of moose at YXS," the airport authority stated ina social media post where they shared video footage of the special visitors.
“Upon completing their regular runway safety check, our Operations Team spotted four moose in the restricted area. The PG Airport Authority implemented our Wildlife Management Plan and safely guided the majestic animals out of the airfield through an existing gate to safety."
The airport also thanked the operations team for handling the herd in a timely matter, ensuring the safety of everyone onsite.
