Now that BC Assessment is done analyzing everyone's homes for 2020, we decided to find out where the most expensive homes reside in B.C.’s northern capital.
The top 10 most valuable residential property homes in Prince George are fairly spread out with three in College Heights, three in North Nechako, then a few pop-up places like Cranbrook Hill and Chief Lake Road.
Some of the homes are lakefront properties that have docks and some are expansive rural acreages, while a few others boast spectacular square footage right in town.
Most homes also have long driveways, so you can't really see the houses that well. However, thanks to Google, we have eyes in the sky, so we've included shots from above.
In Prince George, all 10 properties are valued at $15,702,000.
That’s slightly less than Kamloops’ top 10 properties, which have a combined value of $18,283,000; the most expensive property in the province is a house in Kitsilano worth $64,946,000.
The highest-valued property in northern B.C. is an acreage in Dawson Creek valued at $3,284,000 followed by a Williams Lake acreage at $2,220,000.
The assessments reflect market value as of July 1, 2019, according to BC Assesment's website.
(If you're wondering, the City of Prince George is currently looking at a 2.15 per cent property tax increase for this year.)
