The nomination period for the civic election is now over and the list of candidates for mayor, city council, and school board has been finalized.
Voters in Prince George will see six candidates contend for mayor and will have a pool of 20 candidates to choose from for eight city council seats.
Mayoral candidates:
Prince George Chamber of Commerce CEO Todd Corrigall withdrew his candidacy, for medical reasons. Mayor Lyn Hall announced he will not be seeking reelection during a city council meeting on Aug. 15.

Notably absent from this list is current board chair Sharel Warrington who is ending a 17-year-long career on the school board.
Voters will have to elect five trustees for Prince George and two additional seats are reserved for representatives from the rural communities of the Robson Valley and McBride.
However, Rachael Webber and Bob Thompson are also the only candidates for their respective categories, trustees for Mackenzie and Robson Valley and therefore win by acclamation.
