Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Prince George and area, with very windy conditions expected.
The advisory calls for high winds all day Tuesday, with peak speeds Tuesday night and the winds continuing into Wednesday.
"A significant fall storm will impact the BC Interior today and Wednesday," the weather agency states. "The low-pressure system approaching the coast will rapidly deepen late today and then curl northward on Wednesday, remaining offshore throughout the period."
- Strong winds may down trees or cause tree limbs to break.
- Be prepared for power outages.
- Travel delays will be possible.
- Secure loose outdoor objects.
The advisory also applies to South Okanagan, Nicola, Fraser Canyon, South Thompson, 100 Mile, Chilcotin, Cariboo, Stuart-Nechako, Lakes District, Bulkley Valley and Williston, as well as to the stretch of Highway 97 from Clinton to 100 Mile House.

The Environment Canada forecast for Wednesday, Nov. 20, shows snow is expected during the day with a high of -2 C, and cloudy skies overnight with temperatures dropping to -8 C.
Thursday, Nov. 21 will bring a mix of sun and cloud, with a daytime high of -6 C and clear skies at night, cooling to -14 C.
Friday, Nov. 22 is forecasted to be sunny with a high of -9 C, while cloudy periods are expected overnight with temperatures around -13 C.
Saturday, Nov. 23 has a 40 per cent chance of flurries during the day with a high of -13 C and another chance of flurries at night with temperatures dropping to -25 C.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, there’s a 30 per cent chance of flurries during the day with a high of -15 C, followed by cloudy skies at night and temperatures around -18 C.
Finally, Monday, Nov. 25 will be cloudy with a high of -10 C.
