If you're planning a trip on highways outside of Prince George today (Oct. 29), make sure you drive carefully.

Environment Canada has placed a snowfall warning for three surrounding regions of the northern capital, including Highway 97 north at the Pine Pass, the Peace River and the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District.

The national service says snow could accumulate in the amount of 20 cm by midnight as a warm front crosses paths with a Pacific low-pressure system.

Snowfall is expected to end by tomorrow morning (Oct. 30), except for the Peace region.

Drivers are being asked to adjust their habits as visibility may suddenly be limited.
