Highway 97 is now open to single-lane alternating traffic south of Prince George this afternoon (Oct. 5).
Drive BC says the stretch 19 km north of Wildwood was closed in both directions earlier due to a vehicle incident.

Drive BC is reporting a vehicle collision on Highway 97 south of Prince George.
The provincial service says the incident took place 19 km north of Wildwood, 30 km north of Williams Lake, around 11:40 a.m. this morning (Oct. 5).
It adds the road is closed in both directions with no detour available.
Commuters out of Prince George heading this direction should consider a different route as there's no estimated time of reopening as of this publication.
