Commuters may still see delays, but Highway 97 is now fully re-open south of Prince George this evening (March 26).
A vehicle incident this morning at Picard Road near McLeese Lake forced the road to close for almost 10 hours, eight of which were single-lane alternating.
There's no word yet on the cause of the incident or if anyone was injured.

Highway 97 is now open to single-lane alternating traffic south of Prince George.
This follows a morning vehicle incident that took place near McLeese Lake at Picard Road, closing the road in both directions for several hours.
Commuters are being asked to watch out for traffic controllers as delays will be expected.

Drive BC is reporting a vehicle incident near McLeese Lake this morning that has closed Highway 97 in both directions.
According to the provincial service, there's no detour available at Picard Road, located about 40 km north of Wildwood.
An assessment is in progress.
