Prince George-Peace River MP Jay Hill has remained unaffected by the federal Conservative government's cabinet shuffle.
Hill said Tuesday he will remain the house leader, a position he's held since November 2008, and will continue to sit on the same committees. Hill's vice chair of the operations committee and sits on treasury board and the board of internal economy.
Prior to the shuffle, which touched on 13 portfolios, Hill said he saw some mention in the media that he would be switched to a new portfolio but never heard anything directly.
"There's always speculation but no, I had no desire and there were no conversations about me making a move," he said. "I'm happy where I'm at and I'm very pleased that the prime minister continues to have confidence in my abilities to perform in this role."
