A pedestrian hit and run sent one person to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle early Friday afternoon.
At about 1:30 p.m. the local RCMP got a report of a collision between a motor vehicle and a pedestrian at the corner of First Avenue and Ospika Boulevard.
Police and other emergency services were on scene to find a female, about 18 years old, suffering from serious injuries.
Reports were that after the vehicle collided with the female, it fled the scene.
With help from the public and other emergency responders police tracked the vehicle to a resident west down First Avenue and an adult female and adult male were arrested and are in custody.
A North District RCMP Collision Reconstructionist and the Prince George RCMP's Forensic Identification Section are on the scene to investigate. First and Ospika will be closed for a part of the evening as evidence is gathered.
Police would like to speak to anyone that may have witnessed a small light blue car in the moments before, during or after the collision. To share information about this incident contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
