Quesnel RCMP have arrested two suspects in connection with an armed home invasion.
RCMP were called to a rural property 10 kilometres south of Quesnel on West Fraser Road, at about 1:28 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23.
Two people produced handguns, entered the residence and threatened and assaulted the victim.
One of the suspect’s firearms was discharged during the invasion, but the victim was not struck by gunfire, RCMP report.
The suspects, 35-year-old Eric Joseph Heidemann and 58-year-old Jerry Douglas Clement, are in custody and face several charges, including:
- Pointing a firearm
- Possessing a handgun for a dangerous purpose
- Forcible confinement
- Assault
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Other firearms-related offences
The parties involved in this incident were known to each other, said Sgt. Clay Kronebusch.
