The wait is over for those wanting to shop at Winners and HomeSense.
The stores officially open their doors today (June 16) in Prince George's Pine Centre Mall after a delay due to COVID-19 after a member-exclusive preview this past weekend that saw lineups fill sidewalks.
The space used to be occupied by Sears and is 42,000 sq. ft. of retail.
TJX companies is the corporation that owns Winners, HomeSense and Marshalls.
The local mall announced on May 15 that stores would be reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to shut its doors due to orders from provincial health officers.
As part of the reopening, some areas have temporary closures, including:
- Children’s Play Area
- Guest Services, call 250-563-3681 for assistance or to purchase GC payable by card
- Strollers, wheelchairs and scooter rentals are temporarily unavailable
- Massage Chairs, Candy vending machines, toy vending machines and kiddie rides are temporarily unavailable
Food Court seating is limited and will only be available for those who've purchased at the court.
Those eating will be restricted to 20 minutes to allow others to dine in the court as well.
The mall is currently operating from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily but Winners HomeSense will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. The number of customers allowed in the store will be limited due to COVID-19.
