UNBC's recipients of Honorary Doctorate of Laws degrees during convocation ceremonies May 28 have played inspiring roles in shaping knowledge about the region's political, cultural, and environmental significance.

Robert van Adrichem, UNBC vice president of External Relations, said Wade Davis, Roger Gibbons and First Nation elder Sophie Thomas, who is mother to 15 children, are all very worthy of the honour

In addition, UNBC will bestow the title "Professor Emeritus" on two UNBC recent retirees -- Charles Jago, former president, and William Morrison, history professor and author.
