A gathering in support of Israel will be held in Prince George today.
The event, which will be held on the front lawn at City Hall starting at 5 p.m., is being organized by Eli Klasner, a member of the local Jewish and arts communities in the city.
Anyone who plans to attend is asked to wear blue and white and bring Israeli or Canadian flags.
The war began this weekend after Hamas militants stormed into Israel on Saturday, bringing gunbattles to its streets for the first time in decades.
More than 1,800 lives have already been claimed on both sides, and perhaps hundreds more. Hamas and other militant groups in Gaza hold more than 150 soldiers and civilians hostage, according to Israel.
The conflict is only expected to escalate.
