The Liberal Party of Canada has announced Chris Beach as its candidate for the April 28 federal election in Cariboo-Prince George.
Beach, a small business owner and political science instructor at the College of New Caledonia, was acclaimed for the nomination after rejoining the party due to what he describes as his confidence in new Liberal Leader Mark Carney’s economic vision.
The campaign will kick off with a launch event at Betulla Burning Pizzeria in Prince George at noon on Friday, March 28. The public is invited.
Beach, who lives in Prince George, has previously served as a municipal councillor, mayor and regional district director in Burns Lake.
The Liberals have not yet selected a candidate to run in Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies.
