Charges have been laid against a 20-year-old Prince George man in connection with the murder of a Fraser Lake teenager.
Cody Alan Legebokoff was charged with one count of first degree murder Monday in Vanderhoof in connection with the death of 15-year-old Loren Donn Leslie of Fraser Lake.
The suspect, who has been remanded in custody without bail, will have his next court appearance Dec. 1.
Loren's body was discovered late Sunday night following a police check of a suspicious vehicle and subsequent search north of Vanderhoof. An autopsy of the victim will be conducted Wednesday in Kamloops.
The site and area where the body was found is cordoned off for a scene examination by RCMP and forensic specialists.
A no-fly restriction of 2,000 feet has been requested for a two-mile radius around the scene and Loren's family has requested privacy at this time.
