Longley running again for NDP in Northern Rockies

Longley came second to Conservative incumbent Bob Zimmer in the 2021 federal election

Cory Longley is the NDP's candidate in Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies in the 2025 federal election scheduled for April 28.

The NDP are running a familiar face in Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies in the April 28 federal election.

According to the party’s website, Dawson Creek radio host-turned-plumber Cory “Grizz” Longley is once again carrying the orange banner.

Longley challenged Conservative incumbent Bob Zimmer in the 2021 federal election, coming in second place with 13.5 per cent of the vote.

The NDP’s webpage for Longley describes him as a “A husband, father of three, and dedicated tradesman” who was named Dawson Creek’s 2007 citizen of the year.

The Citizen has reached out to Longley to request an interview.

Other candidates in Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies include Zimmer, Green Party candidate Mary Forbes, People’s Party candidate David Watson. Zimmer has represented the riding in the House of Commons since 2011.
