North District RCMP recently did a seizure of marijuana with a street value estimated at $500,000.
The large grow operation was located on Horrock Road in a rural area south of Prince George.
At a residence police seized 2,634 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and 31 pounds of dried marijuana in separate zip lock bags which was ready for street distribution.
Members also recovered an ATV on the property which had been stolen from Alberta.
Police arrested one man at the residence and are looking for the owner of the property. Charges for production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking have been forwarded to Crown Counsel.
Members are also consulting with the integrated proceeds of crime unit which may result in further charges.
