A 46-year-old Prince George man has been released pending further investigation after a traffic stop found drugs, cash and weapons.
Cpl. Craig Douglass says in a release that officers in the Prince George RCMP's Downtown Safety Unit conducted a vehicle stop on Massey Drive yesterday (March 16) at roughly 5:30 p.m.
A passenger in the car was recognized and found to have an outstanding arrest warrant.
He was arrested without incident.
During the arrest, officers found a substantial amount of drugs and cash along with several weapons including hatchets, hunting knives and ammunition.
All were seized by police.
Douglass says the man was held for investigation and later released pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
