Yesterday (March 25), Mounties released a statement asking for the public's help in finding Luke, whom investigators say was believed to be travelling south on Highway 97.
He had been missing since Wednesday (March 24) at 5:30 p.m.
Search and rescue volunteers from 100 Mile House, Quesnel, Wiliams Lake, Vanderhoof, Mackenzie, Fort St. James and Houston came to assist in efforts to find Luke.
Earlier this afternoon, police said they were worried the 12-year-old may have attempted to hitchhike with a stranger but there was a possibility he was still in the area crews were searching.
