Thirty-five year old Cynthia Frances Maas is the eighth confirmed homicide in Prince George this year.
Prince George RCMP found human remains near LC Gunn Park October 8, in an area that exhibited signs of frequent recreational use, said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk today in a press conference. The body was identified by way of fingerprint comparison as Maas, who was reported missing September 23, 2010.
"It's important for people to remember that Cynthia Maas was a mother, a sister, a daughter, and now, a homicide victim," said Moskaluk.
The scene where the body was found has been released.
