A Fort St. John man has been charged with second degree murder in the death of a 22-year-old woman Monday night.
Court records show Shane Sutherland, 27, has been charged in the killing of Amanda Black.
RCMP said they were called to a home in the Village St. John townhouse complex on 102 Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 where Sutherland was arrested at the scene without incident.
He remains in custody and will appear in court Thursday for a bail hearing.
RCMP and the BC Coroners Service continue to investigate.
