A man has been arrested and charged in relation to a homicide at a Pulp Mill Road home earlier this month.

David MacLeod, 25, has been charged with one count of second degree murder and two counts of attempt to commit murder, Prince George RCMP said Wednesday.

Second-degree murder implies the act was committed without planning and carries a minimum sentence of life in prison with no parole for 10 years.

RCMP said MacLeod was arrested shortly after police were called to the home during the early morning of April 10.

MacLeod remains in custody following a first appearance in court on Monday.

"Due to a court-imposed publication ban, the Prince George RCMP will not be releasing any further information on this file. This matter is now before the court," RCMP said.
