Music, art and heat showcased at Mid-Summer Artisan Market

Something for every taste was available with artists, musicians and food trucks in attendance.

Artists, musicians and entrepreneurs opened booths and stocked the shelves of Studio 2880 for the Mid-Summer Eve Artisan Market Thursday evening.

Offering everything from pottery to jewellery to macrame and chain mail, booths were busy as patrons strolled through them sampling and examining. Music provided a soothing backdrop in the 30 degree heat and food trucks did a brisk business.

The Prince George Symphony Orchestra represented by principal trumpet Greg Prosser sold tickets on a 2024 Chevy Trax SUV to help support the musicians that bring classical music to the city.

A second Mid-Summer Eve Market will be held Aug. 15 at Studio 2880 from 5 p.m to 8 p.m.
