The first edition of the new-look Prince George Citizen is hitting the city's streets.
In all, 17,500 copies of tab-sized weekly have been printed and by this evening, the city should be blanketed with 48 pages of news, advertising, classifieds and flyers.
"We're excited and we think readers will be too," publisher Colleen Sparrow said.
Door-to-door delivery is being concentrated in the Bowl and College Heights while copies will also be available at any of over 150 pickup boxes around the city. To find one, go to www.princegeorgecitizen.ca, scroll down to find "Pick Up The Citizen and Flyers" on the right rail and click on the link.
"If you feel like there's a great spot for a box in your neighbourhood, give us a call and let us know," Sparrow said and added distribution is being kept within city limits.
A number of stores around the city will also continue to carry the Citizen.
And a digital edition for your smartphone, tablet or PC is available by becoming a Citizen Club member (right rail) or simply clicking on "Subscriptions and Delivery" at the bottom of the website.
Businesses who want to receive five or 10 copies can do so, but it is by subscription for $5 a week.
