Prince George RCMP's new superintendent started work Monday.

Supt. Warren Brown comes here from Williams Lake where he was the detachment commander for five years. He is a third generation Mountie whose career in policing has spanned 27 years.

"I like working with stakeholders and partnerships and collaboration," Brown said in a July interview. "As corny as it may sound, that is the key to success in policing."

Brown will meet the media in person next Tuesday.

Brown is replacing Eric Stubbs, who left in June for Ottawa where he is the RCMP's director general of national criminal operations. Insp. Brad Anderson, Prince George RCMP's operations officer, led the detachment until Brown's arrival.
