The long-awaited women's jail in Prince George is expected to be completed later this month.
"Having a facility in Prince George will enable women in northern B.C. to stay in their own community, or closer to home, with opportunities for visits by family," said Jess Gunnarson, B.C. Corrections spokeserson with the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General.
