Nice ride for Trent Seymour

Trent Seymour received a powerful new tool for reclaiming his mobility on Tuesday when he was presented with a new, custom-built, all-terrain wheelchair at Exploration Place Museum and Science Centre.

Trent Seymour received a powerful new tool for reclaiming his mobility on Tuesday when he was presented with a new, custom-built, all-terrain wheelchair at Exploration Place Museum and Science Centre.

The local teen suffered a serious spinal cord injury in a September 2014 hunting accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.

The chair will allow Seymour to resume his outdoor lifestyle, letting him stand fully upright, traverse uneven terrain and continue to hunt and fish.

More than $34,000 for the chair was raised by the museum, the Prince George Metis Housing Society and Lheidli T'enneh First Nation.
