NITRO Motorsports Park hosted the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association this Saturday. Eighteen two-wheeled racers took part in CMDRA action with riders coming from all over British Columbia and Alberta, with one coming from Yellowknife. Motorcycle racers speed down the quarter-mile track on everything from near-stock Harley-Davidson motorcycles all the way to fully modified bikes that reached speeds of up to 230 km/h.
In conjunction with the CMDRA racing, NITRO also hosted their second bracket race of the season with twenty-four racers competing in junior drags, no box, and box racing.
The second day of racing for both the motorcycles and cars is scheduled to take place on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
