A man is in hospital this evening after being involved in a crash on Highway 16 earlier today (June 4).
Prince George RCMP explain he was the only occupant of a single-vehicle collision near West Beaverley Road west of the city before 3 p.m.
First responders transported the man to hospital; his injuries are unknown at this time.
The incident closed the highway for a couple of hours, but has since reopened.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.

Highway 16 west of Prince George is now clear in both directions, according to Drive BC.
The provincial service says, in an update, the 0.1-km stretch between Hooper and West Beaverley Roads is open to traffic after a single-vehicle collision forced the road to close.
Mounties were called to the incident before 3 p.m. today (June 4) and are investigating its cause.
It's unclear at this point if anyone was injured.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.

Drive BC says Highway 16 is single-lane alternating west of Prince George following an incident this afternoon (June 4).
The service says the stretch between Hooper and West Beaverley Roads is expected to reopen by 8:30 p.m. tonight after RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision before 3 p.m. that closed the road completely.
Commuters are advised to slow down, expect delays and watch for traffic control in this area.
Mounties are in the early stages of its investigation into the cause of the crash.

Prince George RCMP are investigating the cause of a crash that’s completely closed Highway 16 west of the city.
According to Mounties, a single-vehicle collision occurred just before 3 p.m. today (June 4) between Hooper and West Beaverley Roads and as a result, there’s no estimated time of reopening this stretch.
Drive BC says there's no detour available due to the collision.
Officers and emergency personnel are on scene and more information is expected to be released when available.
