If you use NorGrow compost, you'll be able to get your hands on it once again.

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) has announced as of May 1, the program will continue at the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill after being temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 concerns.

Compost will be loaded by the staff of the regional district and customers must have a pickup truck or trailer.

Sales are available seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The district is asking payments be made by credit or debit card if possible.

For large loads of NorGrow, you are asked to contact the RDFFG office to make separate arrangements.

"Customers are reminded that the landfill is extremely busy this time of year so they should expect long line ups to enter the site and when waiting for compost loading," a release from the district reads.

"For safety reasons, compost customers are asked to stay in their vehicle while the loader is operating."

Any visitors are required to maintain physical distancing protocols that remain in place.

NorGrow is the bulk compost available at the Foothills Boulevard Regional Landfill.

The product is produced in accordance with Provincial Organic Matter Recycling regulations and is classified as a Class A compost.

Both residential and commercial customers produce the product from local yard and garden waste.

Yard and garden waste is made up of grass clippings, leaves, shrubs, and branches. There are no biosolids (residuals from the municipal wastewater treatment plant) in NorGrow.
