There is a discrepancy over how many Professional Responsibility Forms (PRFs) that Northern Health is guilty of resolving or not at University Hospital.
The B.C. Nurses' Union president, Debra McPherson, and a union staff of seven others came to Prince George this week to meet with local nurses. Foremost on their minds were all the PRFs they have filed in the past two years - safety and quality of care complaints at the hospital - that have been ignored. They peg the number at 250 still outstanding.
Northern Health officials came out to the hospital's parking lot on Wednesday to the BCNU's information event on the front sidewalk. They countered that there were a number of ways these concerns were being addressed, and sometimes simply disagreeing over the final resolution was enough to cloud the numbers.
