It’s an event to encourage those fighting cancer, those we’ve lost and recognize survivors.
The 2019 Relay for Life is scheduled for June 8 from 10 a.m. to 10 a.m. (24-hour event) at Exhibition Park (1 Keller St.) in Prince George.
Close to 100,000 participants participate each year across Canada and raise funds to fight all types of cancers.
Early bird registration is until March 30 with a rate of $10 for participants as well as survivors and participants and $15 thereafter.
The Prince George chapter has a $400,000 goal to raise. To date (March 7), a total of $35,941.99 has been raised.
There are also volunteer opportunities for the event where you can help create a welcoming and supporting environment for participants.
