If you’ve ever dreamed of living in your own self-built cottage on wheels, you’ll be happy to know a tiny house design weekend could be coming to Prince George.
Ben Garratt, from the Vancouver-based company Tiny Healthy Homes is looking to bring a tiny home design and building education workshop weekend to B.C.’s northern capital.
The course is geared toward those interested in basic construction knowledge, building design, healthy homes and alternative small dwellings and takes place over a Saturday to Sunday time period.
Garratt says that over two-days participants would learn the nuts and bolts of how to design and build their very own tiny house. The course will go over trailer options, floor plans, legalities and living systems and many do’s and don’ts.
Garratt runs tiny house workshops throughout the province and has built more than 30 tiny homes.
In a Facebook post, Garrett says he’s still gauging interest and decide on the best dates for the Prince George workshop with the tentative dates of Saturday May 2, 2020 and Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020.
