Have you been to the Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval yet this season? Have you had your photo taken with Santa?
Why not kill two birds with one stone and get your photo with Santa (and a Zamboni) this Saturday (Dec. 14) at the Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval.
Santa will be making a stop at the Oval between 1 and 3 p.m.
If you don’t have skates, rentals will also be available between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and it costs $5 for two hours.
If you haven’t been before, the Prince George Outdoor Ice Oval is a 400m long-track speed-skating facility made with natural ice and is ideal for both recreation and long track speed skating.
The oval is maintained by the Outdoor Ice Oval Society of Prince George.
It’s a great winter activity and made even better by a visit from the big man in red!
You can get a day pass for $2 per person or $5 per family and if you’d like to support the Oval all year long you can purchase a season pass with membership for $25.00 per person or $60 per family.
As with all natural outdoor ice surfaces the condition and quality of the ice at the oval is weather dependent.
The outdoor ice oval is located at 4249 18 Ave., behind the CN Centre.
