You better not be tired of the cold and snow, because it’s almost time to celebrate winter.
The fourth annual Downtown Winterfest is coming up next month, and it’s the perfect opportunity to embrace the cold and snow.
Sunday, Feb. 9 will see people from all over Prince George gather at the Canada Games Plaza to join in on all kinds of winter fun.
Bundle up for the day because there’s snow much going on.
There’s going to be snow and ice sculptures again this year that will feature award-winning talent from international sculptors, Ephemeral Arts.
The ice slide is back, so make sure the kids bring their snow pants! And if you get hungry, the “SMORE Downtown” contest will feature s’more recipes from competing groups, businesses and individuals. All proceeds will go to numerous charitable organizations in the city.
Winterfest also features a winter market in the Prince George Civic Centre where you can shop or wander through and see everything local vendors and exhibitors have to offer.
There’s also going to be music by DJ Ant to set the scene.
All the action will happen between 11 a.m.–4 p.m. so make sure you get down there early so you don’t miss out on any of the events.
