Buona Pasqua!
That’s Happy Easter in Italian, which is what some local residents are wishing to the community as another beloved food event is set to take place this month.
The Prince George Italian Club is gearing up for its annual Easter Pasta and Meatball Sale, back by popular demand after its November event sold out fast.
Featured eats include lasagne, pasta al forno, gnocchi and, of course, meatballs and pasta sauce, all home-made in local kitchens.
This time, the club is encouraging interested feasters to pre-order their food in respecting COVID-19 health and safety protocols and public health orders in place.
Orders are set to be taken until March 21, then available for pick-up at the Prince George Italian Club’s location on Fifth Avenue on March 27 between 1 and 3 p.m.
Provided to PrinceGeorgeMatters, the menu and prices are as follows:
- Meatballs = Medium zip-loc bag/10 large meatballs, $15
- Pasta sauce = Marinara in 24-ounce bottle, $5
- Pasta al forno = 8x8-inch tray, $15
- Lasagne = 8x8-inch tray, $20
- Gnocchi = Medium zip-loc bag, $10
