The Christmas season really kicks into gear in Prince George with the annual Festival of Trees.

This year’s theme is Home for the Holidays and the festival will feature Christmas trees, little trees, wreaths, little houses, a children’s workshop, live entertainment, special events and a great gift shop!

Every year the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation puts on the Festival of Trees to raise money for health care in northern B.C.

This magical 10-day event transforms the Civic Centre into a Christmas wonderland of holiday displays, beautifully decorated trees, entertainment, lights and fun.

You can attend one of the many events that happen throughout the festival or drop by the civic centre during the public viewing hours to take a look at or even bid on one of the many trees.

The festival begins on Friday, Nov. 22 with the fashion show starting at 6 p.m.; the public opening will take place the following day on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 10 a.m.

The Festival of Trees runs until Dec. 1. You can check out the full schedule of events online.
