It’s almost time for the early birds to get a jump on their Christmas shopping, as the Artisans of the North Fair returns to Prince George.
Local artisans from throughout Northern and Central B.C. will converge and take over the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) Oct. 27 and 28.
The fair is in its 15th year and is a one-stop-shop to find unique and hand-made clothes, jewelry, housewares and one-of-a-kind finds.
More than 100 vendors will be in attendance, displaying and selling a variety of products from around the region. Vendors were selected by a juried process that took place this summer, and 14 communities from the region will be represented.
Some of the vendors include Margaret from House of Jasper Silver Studio. She'll be selling a new jewelry collection that was inspired by the region's recent forest fires.
Shoppers can check out first-time vendor Blades of Augustine, who is based in Vanderhoof, as well as Rust and Bling from Burns Lake and Steelhead Creations from Prince George.
There is free admission for both days of the event and free parking at the UNBC campus during the fair. The event runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
