There have been four shootings in Prince George in the last four days.
That’s according to RCMP, who say the incidents are all unrelated to each other following two more reported within a six-hour span in separate areas of the city.
Last night around 9 p.m. (Sept. 17), Mounties first responded to shots fired at a home on 400-block Quinn Street, now believed to be a drive-by shooting as numerous bullet holes were found.
All three people inside were not injured.
Hours later, around 2 a.m. this morning (Sept. 18), RCMP also got a call of gunshots downtown at a home on 1100-block Vancouver Street.
An investigative team found that one shot was fired at the residence and no one was injured from this incident as well.
“At this time, there is no evidence to indicate that these shootings are related to one another or other recent shootings within the City,” says Prince George RCMP S/Sgt. Chris Riddle in a statement.
A family of two adults and three kids were unharmed after a suspected targeted shooting at a Spruceland-area home on Tuesday (Sept. 15) at 3 a.m.
Nearly 48 hours later, around 2:15 a.m. Thursday morning, a man was found with a single gunshot wound after what Mounties describe as a verbal interaction between three people and two men on bikes in the Gateway.
It’s reported that one of the bikers pulled out a gun and shot at the group before they fled the scene.
The man that got hit was taken to hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
