Palestine support rally in Prince George goes Saturday, Oct. 28 at 2 p.m.

There will be a Palestine support rally and peaceful assembly to raise awareness and provide advocacy for the Palestinian civilians being hurt and killed by the current events in Gaza. The event will be held along Ospika Boulevard in front of CN Centre on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Mohamed Shubair, who is a second-year medical student, is organizing the event.

“This event is to raise awareness and provide advocacy for the innocent Palestinian civilians that are being injured and killed by the current events in Gaza,” Shubair said in a news release. “We believe that these atrocities should be stopped and that the loss of any life through bloodshed is deeply saddening.”

Shubair invites everyone to attend the event to stand in support. People from several different/diverse religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds will be in attendance.

This is a peaceful demonstration and not politically motivated, Shubair added.

“We will be gathering along the grass area next to Ospika Boulevard in front of the CN Centre with signs and posters,” Shubair said.
