PHOTOS: Family not giving up hope in finding Colten Fleury after Prince George disappearance

A Prince George walk was held today to mark 365 days of Colten missing

Each day is understandably still heartbreaking for Phyllis Fleury.

Her son Colten disappeared a year ago today (May 3, 2018) and he still has not been found.

Today, a walk in Prince George was held to raise awareness in hopes that somebody knows something about Colten's disappearance, as well as his current whereabouts.

Close to 50 people attended the walk which started at the Civic Centre before making its way through downtown Prince George.

"I'm just really glad the awareness is coming out in Prince George," his mom, Phyllis Fleury, told PrinceGeorgeMatters. "I haven't done a lot in Prince George. I've focused my search in Vancouver."

In a May 28 news release, Prince George RCMP said foul play was believed to not have occurred while unconfirmed sightings were also reported.

"I'm hoping that somebody downtown (Vancouver) will speak up," she says. "There's not been a lot of media attention up until the last few months. It's like he went missing, it went out and it was just left there. A lot of the reports have come from me walking the streets in Vancouver."

There have been no new details in the disappearance of Colten but his mom only wants one thing.

"I just need to see him with my own eyes," she says. "Reach out and say I'm still here and I'm still looking."

Colten was last described as:

  • 173 cm (5'8")
  • 54 kg (120 pounds)
  • First Nations
  • Brown eyes
  • Short brown hair

If you have any information about Colten or his whereabouts, you are asked to call Prince George RCMP at  250-581-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
