Monday (May 4) was a special day for several Prince George residents in celebrating one of the most iconic movie franchises in cinematic history.
Despite COVID-19 forcing the galaxy to feel isolated, much like Luke Skywalker in the opening scenes of A New Hope, that didn’t stop fans and cosplayers from rising to the occasion in celebrating Star Wars Day 2020 from the comfort of their own homes.
Experiences were shared both by those who pledged their allegiance to the dark or light sides of the force.
People wore their best costume, touched up on their skills with a lightsaber and watched their favourite from the beloved saga, which released its ninth installment, The Rise of Skywalker, on Disney-Plus.
PrinceGeorgeMatters asked the local Star Wars community to share their May the Fourth Be With You photos.
They did not disappoint.
