PHOTOS: Santa makes annual visit to UHNBC Pediatric Ward in Prince George

The jolly man himself hoped to bring smiles to those in hospital during Christmas

It isn't an easy time of year if you have to spend Christmas in the hospital and it can be even tougher on a family when your child, sister and/or brother are in the pediatric ward and that's where Santa stepped in.

Santa Claus paid an early visit to patients at University Hospital of Northern B.C. (UHNBC) in the pediatric ward.

Children from all ages were given presents and candy canes to help brighten up their spirits despite what's going on around them.

Prince George parents also had smiles on their faces as their child accepted a gift from the man in the red suit and white beard.

Sadly, the reindeer had to wait outside in the parking lot, but there was an elf on hand... he had to stay on the shelf.
