Another demonstration calling for a ceasefire in Gaza is planned for this weekend in Prince George.
On Sunday, Dec. 17, from 1-3 p.m. supporters will be gathering on Ospika Boulevard by CN Centre to contribute to the Pan-Canadian Day of Action calling for a ceasefire in Gaza.
This event is happening in conjunction with several others that are planned nationwide calling for an immediate ceasefire in Israel/Palestine, an end to the blockade of Gaza, and to restore humanitarian aid and access to the basic necessities of life.
“We are a small but diverse group of local citizens gravely concerned with events that are unfolding in Gaza and are calling for like minded individuals in our amazing community to join us in channeling our humanity, our care and our voices to call for an end to the horrific violence we are witnessing in real time,” the organizers said.
Two similar rallies have been held in the city over the past few weeks.
