After the initial reopening ceremonies for Masich Place Stadium were cancelled roughly a month ago due to poor air quality, festivities will go ahead as scheduled on Sept. 21.
The event is set to run from 4 to 9 p.m., with Sports Discovery Community "Try-It" activities by Engage Sport North.
It's a chance to try a sport on the new equipment and facilities at the stadium.
Opening ceremonies will take place at 5:15 p.m. followed by the UNBC men's soccer team hosting the University of Lethbridge at 6 p.m.
The city says the stadium will be open until mid-November (that could change if Mother Nature throws us a few curve balls).
Walking around the stadium track can be done seven days a week, starting at 6 a.m. The track will remain open until 9 p.m., depending on the events scheduled for that day.
